The first of its kind in Ireland, the PROGRESSIVE Pilates Academy was founded in Dublin in 1998. It is a leader in Pilates Education with both a national and international reputation for high quality education and innovation. Courses range from Master Classes, 1 day workshops to full Pilates Instructor education. The Holistic PROGRESSIVE approach is a synthesis of Pilates and other related bodywork principles designed to enhance the students experience of Pilates movement and to develop a broad range of ability. The PROGRESSIVE Pilates Acadamy & BODYFIRM studio's continue to be a leading force in the growth of and public awareness in the Pilates Technique.
Principle educator:
Your principle educator is Master Trainer Joyce Gavin B.Sc,MT, ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) trained in USA, Canada, Austrailia and UK. Is credited with bringing Pilates to Ireland in the 90's - Is a certified Pilates Trainer/Therapist - Personal Trainer - Holistic / Chi Massage, Bowen and STR soft tissue release Therapist.
Joyce is also a European Master Trainer for Freemotion I-Tonic - a USA based company providing
functional and vibration training world wide.
